UP Police Recruitment 2023: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has opened the application or registration process for the recruitment of UP Police Constable posts 2023 today i.e. on 27th December. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the post on the official website of UPPRPM i.e. uppbpb.gov.in.
The number of vacancies for the post is 60,244, out of which 24,102 are for unreserved candidates, 6,024 for EWS, 16,264 for OBC, 12,650 for SC and 1,204 for ST. As per the official release, the last date for submission of online application is January 16 while the last date for fee adjustment and amendment in application is January 18.
The application fee for UP Police Constable is 400. The release also states that the male candidate must have completed 18 years of age as on 01-07-2023 and must not have attained 22 years of age i.e. the candidate must have been born not before and after 02 July 2001. 01 July 2005.
For female candidates to apply, the age of the candidate should be 18 years as on 01-07-2023 and should not be 25 years i.e. the candidate should not be born before 02 July 1998 or after that. 01 July 2005.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th class from a board established by law in India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Further, preferential qualifications include where candidates have (i) obtained ‘O’ Level Certificate in Computer from DOEACC/NIELT Society; OR Have served for a period of not less than two years in the Territorial Army, or have obtained “B” certificate of the National Cadet Corps.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
For male candidates, male candidates from General/OBC and SC categories should have a base height of 168 cm, while ST applicants have a relaxation of 160 cm. For female candidates, the minimum height of applicants in General/OBC/SC should be 152 cm while in ST it is 147 cm.
