The White Knight Corps said in a post on Saturday that 16 Corps of the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt into the International Border area at Khaur in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army said that suspicious activity of four terrorists was detected through surveillance equipment on the intervening night of 22-23 December.

The White Knight Corps said, “Suspicious activity of four terrorists was observed through their surveillance equipment on the night of 22/23 December. Effective firing was carried out. Terrorists were seen dragging a dead body back across the IB.”

According to PTI, Army personnel guarding the International Border (IB) foiled an infiltration attempt in the early hours of Saturday, in which a terrorist was killed.

A defense spokesperson shared a clip recorded on a surveillance device. The clip reportedly shows four terrorists attempting to enter India from across the border under the cover of darkness.

“Blood stains confirmed the killing of a terrorist, whose body was dragged towards Pakistan by his associates,” PTI quoted officials as saying.

The incident came days after heavily armed terrorists carried out an ambush on army vehicles. On Thursday, four Army soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the forest area of ​​Dera Ki Gali in Rajouri district.

An Army officer was quoted by ANI as saying, “On December 21, at around 3.45 pm, two Army vehicles carrying soldiers were heading towards the operational site when the terrorist opened fire. Our troops immediately responded to the firing.” “

He said that after the attack by terrorists, Indian Army soldiers immediately retaliated.

The Indian Army’s 16 Corps, also known as the White Knight Corps, said on social media platform X that the soldiers lost their lives “while fighting the scourge of terrorism”.

It said, ‘The Indian Army and the White Knight Corps salute the bravery and supreme sacrifice of the four soldiers while fighting the menace of terrorism at Surankote on 21 Dec 23.’
