Conor McGregor may have had one of the best seats in the house to watch Anthony Joshua in action on Saturday night, but the UFC veteran was humiliated to find his name misspelled on the seat.
McGregor announced he would be flying to Saudi Arabia to watch boxing’s huge night as a guest of Saudi advisor Turki al-Sheikh.
It is the second time in the space of a few months that the Irish fighter has appeared at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia, following Tyson Fury’s appearance for his bout with Francis Ngannou.
But despite McGregor’s obvious popularity among Saudi officials, it is not enough for them to spell his name correctly.

Broadcaster TNT Sports posted a video clip showing some of the names who will be sitting in the ring for boxing night.
Saudi Sports Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal was to sit next to the country’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
On his right side was Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and next to the Al Nassr footballer was McGregor.
But there was a noticeable error in McGregor’s spelling, with his first name being spelled “Conor” instead of “Conor”.
The UFC icon also had some interesting company, with rival promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn sitting next to each other.
Everyone was preparing for a blockbuster evening of boxing, headlined by Joshua’s bout against Otto Wallin.
Before then, Wilder will face Joseph Parker with more attractive bouts to come throughout the night.
However, it is the final two bouts of the evening that will capture the attention of boxing fans around the world.

Reports this week suggested Joshua and Wilder were in line to agree a deal to fight each other in 2024.
Two former heavyweight champions are on the comeback trail and trying to regain their belts.
But to keep alive their hopes of facing each other next year, both will have to win their respective battles this evening.
