The Malone family has been inundated with messages of condolence after confirming the death of their pet dog Dave.
Dave the Rottweiler regularly appeared on the Channel 4 show with the family and became a fan-favourite among dog lovers everywhere.
Mum Julie shared the heartbreaking news with a tribute on Instagram, alongside one of Dave’s final videos.
She wrote: “RIP Dave xxx There are no words to describe you or how much you mean to us.
“It was you waiting for your dad to come back on Sunday and he went out to Car X.
“We will all miss you so much,” the Gogglebox star signed off before being overwhelmed with support from fans and co-stars.
Fellow Gogglebox favorite Izzy Warner wrote in response: “Oh rest in peace Dave, sending you all so much love xx,” followed by a heartbreak emoji.
While another follower said: “Oh no, so sorry to the whole family and he will be missed attacking Tom and barking at animal shows xx RIP Dave the legend xx.”
Elsewhere, another Gogglebox fan offered his condolences: “I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I’ll miss seeing them on Gogglebox. RIP Dave.”
A third echoed: “Sad to hear that Dave was a great dog, the times he accidentally hit Tom it made me laugh so hard.”
And a fourth commented: “How sad – loved seeing him on Gogglebox.” (Thus)
The Malones joined the cast of Gogglebox in 2014 and are made up of mother Julie, father Tom Sr., sons Shawn and Tom Jr., and daughter Vanessa.
Dave has many memorable moments with his family, from attacking the family’s helium machine to jumping on father Tom Sr. while wearing a dog mask.
The Channel 4 staple is still going strong on the channel, but has seen a major change in its cast in recent months after longtime star Stephen Webb and his partner Danielle left the show.

Webb had been a regular contributor to the show for a decade and joined the cast as one of the original cast members.
However, following her departure from Gogglebox, she has been introduced as a contestant on ITV’s Dancing on Ice alongside the likes of Ricky Hatton and Claire Sweeney.
Webb will undoubtedly be hoping to make an impact on the ice, but ITV has faced criticism for its line-up before any stars have even taken to the rink and some have described it as “the worst” ever. Have declared the line-up.
