Comedian Jeff Dye criticizes ‘terrible’ ex Kristin Cavallari for DUI story: ‘F–k her’ – Gudstory

“I’m an alcoholic,” Dye, 40, revealed on the Thursday, December 21, episode of “Smoochietown with Marco DelVecchio” podcast. “I still have 36 days.”

Dye admitted to drinking “every night since 2005”, explaining that he would start his evenings at a bar and possibly end up at another bar later, before going to a comedy club.

During Thursday’s podcast episode, Dye also detailed his DUI earlier this year.

“I woke up late because I overslept because the alarm went off. I jumped in a cold shower, put a hat on and just got in my Tesla,” Dye recalled, adding that he was visiting an ex-girlfriend. “Teslas are very fast and so I lost control of my car and it crashed. This was 9 hours after I slept. It wasn’t like I was leaving the bar, I wasn’t beaten up.”

While he “did not feel intoxicated” at the time of the crash, Dye was still concerned about having “some alcohol” in his system. So, he “ran away by car.”

“Then, they arrested me in a coffee shop in front of my ex-wife, in front of everyone in the coffee shop, too,” Dye recalled. “It was extremely humiliating.”

Dye’s aforementioned former Kristin Cavallari, who, without using his name, recounted the same incident on his “Let’s Be Honest” podcast in October, a few weeks after the accident. (Cavaleri and Dye parted ways in March 2021 after five months together.)

“I say, ‘Can you guys tell me what’s going on?'” Cavallari recalled during the October 24 episode, revealing that he had talked to the arresting officers. “One of the police officers says, ‘There was a report of a hit-and-run across the street and he matches the description of that guy.'”

Dye was not very happy that Cavallari talked publicly about his accident and subsequent DUI.

“Kristin is telling stories on her podcast for Click, which she loves… I can’t tell it’s her story,” Dye said during Thursday’s episode of “Smoochietown,” after posting photos of her entire car. Called Cavallari “a terrible person”. Her Instagram story.

“It was horrible and it hurt my feelings a lot,” Dye said. “I don’t think people realize how horrible it made me feel. Like, I don’t know if anyone will ever know. I don’t know how to explain it. Imagine the worst thing ever happening to you and strangers looking at you as if you were in a coffee shop.”

Returning to the conversation about his sobriety, Dye revealed that he has “never felt better.” He added, “I wish I had done it sooner.”
