Much of the Ram temple complex will be a green area with hundreds of trees and the complex itself will be “self-reliant”, the temple trust said, outlining facilities such as its own sewage and water treatment plant, a fire brigade post and a dedicated power line. Said.

Ram Mandir Trust general secretary Champat Rai told reporters here on Tuesday that about 70% of the 70-acre complex will be green area.

“The green area includes areas that are very dense, and in some parts even sunlight barely filters through,” he said. About 600 existing trees are preserved in the green belt.

In a presentation before the media, Rai said that the temple complex would be “self-reliant” in its own way, and would not put any burden on the Ayodhya civic body’s sewage or drainage system.

He said the complex will have two STPs (sewage treatment plant), a WTP (water treatment plant) and a dedicated power line from the power house. A fire brigade post there will be able to get water from the underground reservoir.

The first phase of the temple is nearing completion, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the “Pran Pratishtha” or consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol on January 22.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya visited the office of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, located at Ramkot in Ayodhya.

Modi will also visit the temple town on December 30 to inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station and a new airport. Officials had earlier said he would also address a rally.

“Preparations are in full swing for his visit,” Maurya told PTI. We are all ready.

As envisioned, a panoramic image of the upcoming temple has been displayed in the lobby of the Trust’s office. After the presentation of the Ram temple scenario plan, Rai accompanied journalists to the temple construction site.

He said, “The entry to the temple will be from the east direction, and the exit will be from the south direction. The entire temple superstructure will eventually be three storeyed – G2.”

To reach the main temple, tourists will climb 32 steps from the eastern side.

The temple complex, built in traditional Nagara style, will be 380 feet long (east-west direction), 250 feet wide and 161 feet high, he said.

He told that each floor of the temple will be 20 feet high and it will have a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates.

The grand temple, he said, will have a rectangular perimeter called ‘parkota’, a feature found in temples in South India, but not generally in the North.

Rai said, the ‘parkota’ will be 14 feet wide and its perimeter will extend to 732 meters.

The four corners of the ‘Parkota’ will be dedicated to Sun God, Mother Bhagwati, Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva.

A temple dedicated to Mother Annapurna will be constructed in the northern direction. Rai said, there will be a temple of Lord Hanuman on the southern side.

Seven other shrines are planned in the complex, dedicated to Maharshi Valmiki, Maharshi Vashisht, Maharshi Vishwamitra, Maharshi Agastya, Nishad Raj, Mata Shabri and Devi Ahilya — all associated with Lord Ram’s life.

At the same time, the idol of Jatayu has been installed on Kuber Tila in Ayodhya. “An ancient Shiva temple at Kuber Tila has also been renovated,” Rai said.

On Tuesday, when PTI visited the construction site, workers were busy carving stone slabs, and putting finishing touches ahead of the consecration ceremony.

According to Rai, the auspicious time for Abhishek will be between noon and 12.15 pm.

On Tuesday, a large number of people went to the Ram Janmabhoomi site to have ‘darshan’ of the deity – the old idol of Ram Lalla is housed in a makeshift temple – as construction activity continued nearby.

The complex will also have a lift and two ramps at the entrance for the elderly and disabled.

There will be a pilgrim amenity complex with a healthcare center and a toilet block. Before his darshan, 25,000 people will be able to deposit their shoes, watches and mobile phones.

A route has been created for emergency situations.

Rai said a statue of Jatayu has been installed at Kuber Tila in Ayodhya, and an ancient Shiva temple has already been renovated there.”

The Supreme Court gave a historic verdict in 2019 and settled the more than a century old temple-mosque dispute.

The court supported the construction of Ram temple at the disputed site and ruled that an alternative plot of five acres should be found for the construction of the mosque.
