United States President Joe Biden lashed out at the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas, which launched an unprecedented and multi-front attack on Israel during the early hours of October 7, saying Palestinians are suffering losses as a result of the attacks. At least 3,200 people have lost their lives on both sides since the infiltration and Israel’s counter-offensive, leading to a humanitarian crisis.

President Joe Biden stressed that his administration’s priority is to address the humanitarian crisis that has begun to unfold in the Gaza Strip. Joe Biden was speaking at an event in Philadelphia to promote a US$7 billion program to boost the development and production of hydrogen fuel in the US.

During his address, Joe Biden paused and noted the worsening situation for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as Israel continues to retaliate with missile strikes to root out Hamas militants accused of last weekend’s attacks on the country.

Joe Biden said he has directed his team to work with the governments of Israel, Egypt, Jordan and other Arab countries and the United Nations to deliver humanitarian relief to people affected by the war.

“We cannot ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians want nothing to do with Hamas,” Biden said. “And they are suffering the consequences.” Joe Biden then mentioned al-Qaeda, saying the terrorist organization “looked pure” to Hamas.

In a major escalation on 7 October, Hamas launched a “surprise attack” on Israel, firing rockets at southern and central parts of the country.

Both the IDF have confirmed that more than 120 civilians are being held captive by the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza. Israeli Defense Forces said on Saturday that 1,300 people have lost their lives and more than 3,000 have been injured in Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel.
