It seems like no one wants to win the NFC South, but Jesse Betts is helping lift the Falcons to the division title. Betts has been a transcendent talent for Atlanta, who currently ranks third in the league with five interceptions. He also had a 92-yard pick six, the longest by any player this season. Pitts, who plays behind AJ Terrell and Dee Alford, has made Atlanta a formidable pass defense.
Furthermore, the departure of the former Bengals safety has decimated Cincinnati’s secondary. Hours after Betts signed with Atlanta, fellow Bengals safety Von Bell signed a deal with the Carolina Panthers. As a result, the Bengals moved from 7th in EPA/dip allowed in 2022 to 23rd in 2023, for every RBSDM.
