Tyson Fury is reportedly planning to fly to Saudi Arabia early to prepare for his bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

It looks like the Gypsy King is taking the fight very seriously, unlike the last time he had to fight Francis Ngannou.


Fury knows he did not perform at his best during that fight, losing in the third round.

Although he ultimately won via split decision, the 35-year-old was widely criticized for the way he performed that night.

Even Fury’s own father, John, has expressed fears for the Gypsy King as his seismic clash with Usyk draws closer.

Yet the Briton is ready to silence his critics and according to the Daily Star, he is planning to visit Saudi early to ensure he has the best preparation.

It has been claimed that Fury is ‘keen’ to get out of Riyadh quickly.

He will celebrate Christmas with his wife Paris and the rest of the family.

But he is prepared to skip any New Year celebrations to spend time in the Middle East to boost his chances of reigning supreme.

As a result, Fury will have to undergo a lengthy training camp.

Sugarhill Steward is set to join the Briton in Saudi, while Fury is currently competing with Thomas Carty.

Katy recently uploaded a photo of herself with Fury and Moses Itauma.

And Fury was seen significantly slimmer than he was during his controversial victory over Ngannou in late October.

The report states that it is also possible that Itauma will be on the undercard of the fight between Fury and Usyk.

However, whether this happens or not remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, former boxing star Johnny Nelson Ahead of the fight between Fury and Usyk has opened,

And he recently expressed his belief that Fury will win if he keeps his ‘sh**t’ together.

“It’s time, there’s nothing you can do about it,” he told pro boxing fans.

“It might not be popular to say it, but if his own Pope is saying it, and one thing I will say about John Fury is that he will always tell the truth.

However, Nelson is worried that the fight could be pushed back again.

The original fight between the pair was scheduled to take place on 23 December.

However, it was postponed to 17 February, as Fury needed more time to recover from his victory over Ngannou.

Nelson said: “But if he doesn’t fight on February 17 we’ll have a problem.

“Because if her dad is saying this now, it tells you there could be a delay, they probably want more time.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to push it down a little bit.”
