Telangana News: Bride’s family does not include mutton bone marrow in menu, groom’s relatives cancel wedding – Gudstory

The report said the bride was from Nizamabad while the groom was from Jagtial. The wedding was canceled soon after the groom’s family members arrived for the engagement ceremony at the bride’s residence in November.

As per the agreement, the bride’s family had arranged for a non-vegetarian menu for the guests, which included their family members and the groom’s relatives.

A fight broke out after the engagement ceremony after the guests said that mutton bone marrow was not being served. Controversy escalated as the bride’s family confirmed that bone marrow was not included in the recipes.

Soon the police were called. Officials from the local police station tried to convince the groom’s family to resolve the fight, but they remained angry at the ‘insult’.

The groom’s family alleged that the bride’s family deliberately hid from them the fact that bone marrow was not on the menu. After this the groom’s family canceled the marriage.

Delhi’s Paneer Controversy:

Earlier in December, a similar incident took place at a wedding ceremony in Delhi, where guests’ frustration over the shortage of cheese turned into a full-fledged brawl.

According to media reports, the guests started the dispute citing absence of pieces of paneer in the matar paneer served during the feast.
