Just two weeks ago, I reflected on the fact that defense technology is no longer taboo for VCs or top tech talent. It is too early to say how long the Israel-Hamas war, which began last weekend following atrocities against civilians, will last, but it is likely to make the need for defense technology for democracies even clearer.
This is true in the US as well as in Europe, where defense AI company Hellsing is built on the premise that “software, especially artificial intelligence, will be the key to defending our democracy.”
