Michael Schumacher is receiving the best medical treatment in human history, according to former Mercedes boss Nick Fry.
The German has lived the last decade in the shadows after suffering a serious, life-changing injury in December 2013.
Michael Schumacher is said to be receiving the best medical treatment in human history
And Fry, speaking to the online betting guide, claimed Schumacher is receiving the best medical treatment in human history.
He said, “I have not heard anything about Michael Schumacher’s condition, so I am unable to confirm or deny any recent reports about him.”
“Michael has the best medical team in the world, and I am 100 percent certain that no human being in history has received the same treatment as Michael for his specific injury. The family has the resources.”
He added: “I hope and pray they are making progress with him.
“If the reports about him at the dinner table or in the car are true, it wouldn’t surprise me at all because I think that’s the kind of thing you would do to reset your brain.
“I just hope that Michael has a good quality of life.
“My mom has dementia, so I know what it’s like to be alive but not be aware of the world around you.”
Fry also believes that the Schumacher family should maintain hope despite all the years that have passed.
“Humans are amazing and it’s not impossible to expect things to return to normal,” he said.
“I’m sure we will listen at some level and if the medical team learns anything about treating people with these types of injuries it will be Michael’s greatest contribution.”
Fry and Schumacher initially had a ‘complicated’ relationship.
But the former Mercedes boss feels honored to work with one of the best drivers in Formula One history.
He said, “I would say that my experience working with Michael Schumacher was complicated.”
“Being a good Briton, I would never put Michael on the top of my list of most liked people because he was a dastardly German who did nasty things to good, honest Britons and other people!
“I was not an immediate fan of Schumacher but I had great respect for what he achieved.
