Manchester United sacked Jadon Sancho is reportedly having to close the doors of the club’s academy as his exile from the first team continues.

Big things were expected from him when he left German giants Borussia Dortmund in the 2021 summer transfer window.

United had spent four years pursuing Sancho, with Jose Mourinho first registering an interest in the player when he took charge at Old Trafford.

However, since finally landing their man, the player has suffered a massive decline.

He worked hard under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, while struggling to win the Eric Ten Hag Round last season as the club finished third in the Premier League table and won the Carabao Cup.

It’s an open secret that Sancho has been struggling to adjust to life in Manchester since returning almost two-and-a-half years ago.

And he has been exiled from the United team after calling Ten Hague a liar on social media.

Sancho was questioned by Ten Hag after United lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in November.

He then hit out at the former Dortmund and Manchester City star, insisting he was not performing well enough in training to warrant selection.

This enraged Sancho and he said on social media, “Please don’t believe everything you read!

“I won’t allow people to say things that are completely false, I have conducted myself very well in training this week.

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter which I will not go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which is not fair!”

Now, according to the Daily Mail, there’s still no end in sight to Sancho’s time in the jungle.

The forward has been working with the club’s academy as he looks to maintain his fitness as the January transfer window approaches.

But Sancho has also been given the task of closing the doors to the Red Devils academy to prevent any security issues relating to any senior players mixing with the minors.

United say there is still a way for the player to return if he apologises.

Yet let’s be honest and there is no chance of Sancho doing that at the present time.

United players are rooting for Ten Hag, who has already brutally sent off Cristiano Ronaldo during his tenure.

The Dutchman felt he had no option but to sack the 38-year-old after Ronaldo criticized him, the club and the Glazers in a bombshell interview.

The superiors also want Sancho to give up his pride and give Ten Hag the pardon he wants.

But it seems likely the 23-year-old will be sold when the transfer window reopens in January.

Dortmund have been linked with a sensational move for Sancho, having looked at the player’s best performances during his spell at the Westfalenstadion.

Reports have revealed they are concerned, however, that the forward had issues with timekeeping during his time with them.

Saudi Arabian clubs were eyeing a late move for Sancho last month.

But nothing happened and it will be interesting to see whether Middle East teams come calling for the player in the new year.

Sancho has made 82 appearances for United since his blockbuster arrival in 2021.

However, with only 12 goals to his name, he has done little to justify his astonishing £73 million transfer fee.

This amount makes Sancho the fifth most expensive signing in United’s entire history.

Paul Pogba is still at the forefront, with the France international earning the club a massive £89million upon his return from Juventus in 2016 after four years away.

And United have also spent big on players like Antony, Harry Maguire and Romelu Lukaku.

Meanwhile, former Premier League star Kevin-Prince Boateng recently discussed the Sancho situation on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.

And Boateng believes both Ten Hag and Sancho are to blame for the current impasse.

“It feels really bad for the club, for Ten Hag, for Sancho, it feels really negative,” said the 36-year-old, who has worked with Portsmouth and Tottenham during his time in England.

“You only read negative things – he says this, they say that.

“I think you just need to sit down with the player, tell him honestly what you think he needs to do, the player says what he needs to do and then he leaves or he stays there And gives everything.

“I don’t think Sancho gives everything, like he’s not there 100 percent with his mind, and I think Manchester United are treating him wrong, so you just have to find a solution.

“I think Sancho is an incredible player, so much potential, which he showed at Dortmund… coming back to England certainly hasn’t helped him because of the environment, he’s driven all his friends out here .

“He comes here, his friends are around, you know how it is, I was the same way!

“When I came back to Berlin, I had friends and yes, football came second.

“At Dortmund, there was no one around him, look how he performed – he was flying, because he was just concentrating on football, football, football, there were no excuses. Now he has excuses.”
