Luke Littler has revealed he is not afraid of potential revenge from two players as the Dutch Masters approaches.

The 17-year-old has enjoyed a surprising rise to fame in recent weeks, and has established herself as a household name in the UK in the process.

Littler made the final of the World Darts Championship earlier this month, losing to Luke Humphreys at Alexandra Palace.

And the youngster continued his exploits in London by claiming the Bahrain Masters crown and the first senior title of his career.

Littler will be hoping to win the Dutch Masters at the weekend and continue his excellent form.

He is not afraid of anyone taking part, although he admits that Gian van Veen and Raymond van Barneveld may be seeking revenge.

Littler had defeated Van Veen in two finals last year.

And while he recently got the better of Van Barneveld at the World Championships, he grew up idolizing the Dutchman.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Littler said: “The line-up for the Dutch qualifiers is really good.

“Does Gian want revenge, does Raymond want revenge… I would happily play either of them.

“But I haven’t really paid attention to it. The line-up is going to be great and it’s going to be good this week.”

Littler also admitted that he was very happy after winning in Bahrain and securing the first senior title of his career.

Despite his young age, he is confident in his abilities.

And Littler feels that despite the increasing pressure amid rising fame, he has been able to adjust to whatever stage he plays on.

“It was just a new experience, a new stage to play on,” he said.

“You could hear everything in the crowd, I had to try to block it out.

“But yes, it was good to go there and come back as a champion.

“I know that as soon as I get on that stage, I’ll settle down and somehow, somewhere…hopefully I’ll cross my mark.”

Following the completion of the Dutch Masters, Littler will prepare for his Premier League debut.

The 17-year-old will face Humphries in the opening match of that competition next week.

And Littler feels all the pressure is on the 28-year-old, rather than the other way around, as they prepare to do battle again.

,[Humphries] It’s been unbelievable,” he said, according to the Mirror.

“That’s why he won the world title and that’s why he has this 20-game winning streak.

“So now he is the man to beat – and all the attention will be on him.

“Hopefully the World Championships won’t be the last time we meet in a major final – and if it’s just me and Luke in every final, it’ll still be cool.

“But you’ve still got all those dangerous players – Michael Smith, Gezzi (Gerwyn Price) and Michael van Gerwen – and it’s going to be grueling.

“Everyone who has won a Tour Card can beat you – you win a Tour Card because you are one of the best.”
