Liam Gallagher glad Jurgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season
City and Liverpool have regularly competed for the biggest titles during Klopp’s successful spell in the dugout.
And Gallagher, who is a huge fan of the reigning Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League winners, has reacted brutally to Klopp’s exit.
“Good riddance,” he replied to Radio X host Jonny Vaughan on Friday.
“I didn’t find anything, yes, got rid of it. See you later!”
Liverpool are currently five points ahead of City at the top of the Premier League table, having played one game more.
And all signs point towards the two giants enjoying another interesting battle in the coming months.
City boss Pep Guardiola was asked about Klopp’s bombshell exit following his team’s 1-0 FA Cup win over Tottenham.
Nathan Ake scored the only goal of the game to send Guardiola’s side through to the fifth round of the historic competition.
And Guardiola joked that he would sleep better knowing that Klopp would soon be packing his bags and going for a walk into the sunset.
“I’d better sleep. The game against Liverpool has been almost a nightmare,” he said.
“Of course he’ll be missed. I was surprised like everyone else.”
“I felt when I heard the news that a part of Man City was going to lose something.
“We can’t define our period here without him. We can’t define our period without Liverpool. It’s impossible.
“He has been our biggest rival and personally he has been the best rival I have ever had in my life.
“The Premier League will miss him, his charisma and personality. And especially the way his teams play.”
