BBC officials are now reviewing security after receiving information about the stunt.

A Just Stop Oil activist told the Metro, “It would be incredible to have primetime BBC television, watched by millions of people.”

The group neither confirmed nor denied the plans, but said: “We all love Strictly, but the truth is that Rishi Sunak and his very destructive dancing partners have oiled the dancefloor and ruined it for everyone. Are wasting.

“We are heading towards climate change and we risk losing everything we know and love. There will be no time to dance when we are fighting for food.”

“Just Stop Oil supporters will not stand by until unelected “judges” kill millions of people. Strictly speaking, we need to stop all new oil and gas.

The student’s inspiration came from a Swedish eco-group who stormed the stage during the final of Let’s Dance.

Protesters from Restore Wetlands ran onto the stage throwing yellow powder and carrying signs.

The One Just Stop Oil source said: “What happened with the restored wetlands was amazing. That’s absolutely something we’re looking at. Strictly Come Dancing has a studio audience, giving the opportunity to go inside on the night. Everyone talked about it for a long time.”

Earlier this month, Just Stop Oil eco-zealots disrupted a production of Les Miserables as audience members heckled the quartet to disrupt the performance.

As the actors sang the iconic Les Miserables hit Do You Hear the People Sing, eco-warriors rushed onto the stage.

The four activists then locked themselves on the stage of a French-Revolution-themed show.

As an actor started waving a red flag on stage, an activist raised a banner of Just Stop Oil.

Local authorities immediately arrived at the scene and arrested five people inside a theater on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Last week, Just Stop Oil stopped a coach carrying the first group of migrants back on the Bibby Stockholm barge.

At least 23 supporters of Just Stop Oil blocked the road, which is the only boat access road on the Isle of Portland.

When the group stood in front of the coach and hoisted a banner reading “No Prison Ships”, asylum seekers heading back to the barge were stopped, two months after it was evacuated following the discovery of Legionella.
