Jude Bellingham delivered a shock to football fans hoping to see him in the Premier League after his heroics for England against Italy on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old performed brilliantly at Wembley as the Three Lions scored the double for Luciano Spalletti’s side.

With the help of two goals from Harry Kane, England won 3–1 on home soil.

Marcus Rashford was also on target, with Bellingham providing a vital assist for the Manchester United star in the 57th minute.

Overall it was a good night for England, who have won five of their six Euro 2024 qualifiers so far – scoring 19 goals and conceding just three in the process.

While Kane and Rashford scored for the hosts, Bellingham won the match with another mesmerizing display in midfield.

The sky is the limit for the 20-year-old, who has gone from strength to strength since leaving Borussia Dortmund for Real Madrid in the summer.

Bellingham was eventually courted by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City before opting to strut his stuff in Spain.

And the youngster, speaking after England’s win over Italy, has now made it clear to fans hoping to see him in the Premier League that he wants to stay at Real for many years to come.

“I’m getting a little better every time I play,” said the former Birmingham City star.

“It was a really good night for us, we all remember what happened a few years ago when they played us here [in the Euro 2020 final, which England lost on penalties],

“You always aim for progress. We are going in the right direction and this is a very important victory for us.”

“I’m loving football at the moment. My management at club and country are giving me the freedom to play it how I see it.

“For the last few months I’ve been really working on my timing of going to the box and as I’ve been coming in I’ve been coming in with a bigger appetite.

“The fact with big transfers is that I have to perform, whether it’s a goal or an assist or a match-winning performance.

“This is the club I want to be at for the next 10 to 15 years of my life. I love being there.”

“Carlo [Ancelotti] Basically said this situation is where he sees me.”

Bellingham was then asked how playing alongside midfield icons such as Luka Modric and Toni Cruz has affected his game.

And he responded by saying: “One hundred percent [it improves you],

“When you’re around players with those mentalities and quality every day, it takes you to a new level mentally, physically and technically.”

Bellingham will now turn his immediate attention back to club football.

Real Madrid are in La Liga action on Saturday night, as Los Blancos take on Sevilla.

Meanwhile, England boss Gareth Southgate was full of praise for Bellingham after the win over Italy.

“I think it shows in the way he handles himself and the way he plays on the field,” he said when asked about being the X-factor in Bellingham.

“To be honest, he’s had it since he walked through the door.

“That confidence, that willingness to connect with the crowd, those are rare qualities in a player of such a young age.”

Injury permitting, Bellingham should be involved when England next take the field.

They are scheduled to face Malta on November 17 before traveling to North Macedonia in their final Euro 2024 qualifier a few days later.
