The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) got its first woman chief in Neena Singh, who has been appointed Director General (DG).

Neena Singh, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is currently working as Special Director General in CISF. The order said he has been appointed to the post till his superannuation on July 31, 2024.

Additionally, the Union Home Ministry headed by Amit Shah appointed Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) chief Anish Dayal Singh as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Manipur cadre, was holding additional charge of CRPF after the retirement of incumbent SL Thaosen on November 30.

It said the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Singh as Director General of CRPF till December 31, 2024, which is the date of his superannuation.

Rahul Rasgotra, currently special director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), will replace Singh as the new ITBP chief.

Rasgotra, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre, has been appointed to the post till his date of superannuation i.e. September 30, 2025, the order said.

Vivek Srivastava, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, will be the Director General, Fire Services, Civil Defense and Home Guards.

The order states that he has been appointed to this post till June 30, 2025, i.e. the date of his superannuation. Srivastava is currently a special director in IB.
