US President Joe Biden claims terrorist operatives from the ‘other team’ were responsible for the horrific Gaza hospital explosion amid the Israel-Hamas conflict. POTUS visited Tel Aviv on Wednesday to support ‘Israel’s right to defend itself’ and assure that the US ally will have the relevant resources. More than 500 civilians were killed during Tuesday’s incident and both Hamas and the Israel Defense Forces pointed fingers at each other.
“I am deeply saddened and angry by the explosion that occurred in the hospital in Gaza yesterday. Based on what I have seen, it appears that it was done by another team, not you,” he told Netanyahu during a ‘solidarity visit’. “
Biden later cited data shown to him by the US Defense Department to explain his comments, according to a Reuters update.
“Based on the information we have seen so far, it appears to be the result of an errant rocket fired by a terrorist group in Gaza,” he told reporters.
Meanwhile the White House said its current assessment indicated Israel was ‘not responsible’ for the Gaza hospital bombing. However, it also said that America is still collecting evidence.
