Football fans have praised Jill Scott after the England Women star showed off her new tattoo on social media.

The 36-year-old has become a household name in recent years, after helping England win the European Championship in 2022.

During that match, a clip involving Scott and an opponent was caught on camera.

The England star was caught shouting ‘F**k off you f***ing p***k’, with the footage going viral due to her fighting attitude towards victory.

It also became one of the iconic images as England finally won their first major tournament since the men’s victory at the 1966 World Cup.

Scott has now decided to commemorate the moment by getting ‘FOYFP’ tattooed on his midriff.

“This moment will haunt me for the rest of my life,” he said on TikTok.

“Sorry again, I got caught up in the moment.”

Scott previously admitted he regretted his outburst, and insisted he was ‘not proud’ of it.

Speaking to the Daily Mail last year, the 36-year-old confessed: “As soon as that moment came, I wasn’t proud of it.

“I’ve played football for a very long time.

“I don’t want to be remembered for swearing because the irony of that is I hate swearing.

“I would pull people up for abusing. So, it’s not my proudest moment.

“But I think what came out in that moment is that I get very emotional when I know I’m helping others and I don’t want to let the team down.”

Football fans have now praised Scott for the tattoo, with user Key saying: “You need a damehood for FOYFP alone. We need to start a campaign now.”

Another said: “We need some FOYFP merchandise please and thank you.”

A third fan, named Sam, said the tattoo was ‘the best tattoo he’s ever seen’.

Another user Mia said: “I’m crying, love Jill.”

And a fifth person, who goes by the name of LC, said: “Why is Jill the greatest icon to ever grace this planet?”

Meanwhile, the Scot recently hit back at internet trolls who say he should not comment on men’s football as he has only played the women’s game.

Speaking on Loose Women, host Jane Moore asked: “Even after all your experience, do you get stick for being the woman commentating on football?”

And Scott responded by saying: “I’d like to say no, but yes you would.

“When it comes to men’s football people say ‘You’ve never played the men’s game, so what do you know?'”

She then added: “I don’t look for validation on social media, I think it should come from friends and family.

“I think over the years I’ve learned to listen to the people who matter.”

Scott also says that she is thick-skinned and has been playing football since childhood.

“The boys were OK and accepted that you could play football,” the Lionesses hero said.

“I always picked up my football boots on Tuesdays because there was nothing that could stop me playing the game I love.

“I think my resilience was developing from a very young age so I’m quite thick-skinned.
