Delhiites woke up to dense fog on Thursday morning, causing delays in many trains. Some flights were also delayed due to fog and low visibility in the national capital.

Regarding the delay in trains, Subhash, a passenger, said, “Many trains are running late. 8 trains which were supposed to arrive last night have not arrived yet. The trains which were supposed to arrive this morning are about 3-4 Running late.” hours and there is no confirmation as to when these trains will arrive…”

“Fog conditions at IGI Airport have significantly improved today with minimum visibility being 150 meters in dense fog this morning and Runway Visual Range (RVR) in the range of 400 meters to 800 metres,” the IMD said.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued an advisory of dense fog for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.

“Dense fog advisory for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh: Be careful while driving or going out via any transport. Use fog lights while driving. Keep in touch with airlines, railways and state transport to schedule your travel,” the weather office wrote on X.

IMD has warned of dense fog over parts of northwest and adjoining central India during the next three days. It also reported about satellite imagery, which revealed the presence of fog in the North India region.

Dense fog blanketed the national capital and its surrounding areas on Thursday morning, reducing visibility on roads, resulting in delays in many trains and flights.

This caused delays in many trains and flights. More than 20 trains were delayed and 134 flights were delayed yesterday due to low visibility.
