According to court documents obtained by us weeklyThe rappers are being sued by an LA property owner for breach of contract and negligence. The owner claimed Cardi, 31, and Offset, 32, lived in the home for 20 months and vacated the premises “without notice” in October. The documents also allege that the musicians did not pay rent or utilities for a “period of time.”
Upon leaving the house, the owner claimed there was “considerable property damage”, including broken furniture, holes in the walls, and permanent scratches and stains on the limestone tile floors, carpeting, and curtains. According to the filing, there were also burn marks on things like tables, counters and cabinets.
The cost to repair the damage is at least $85,000. The owner claimed that both Cardi and Offset have “ignored” multiple attempts to resolve the matter.
