Apple reportedly wants to use news to help train its AI models -Gudstory

Apple is talking with some big news publishers about licensing their news archives and using that information to help train its generative AI systems. the new York Times Report. The company is apparently discussing “multiyear deals worth at least $50 million” Now says, and has been in touch with publications such as Condé Nast, NBC News and IAC.

The reaction from publishers appears to be mixed. Apparently, publishers “could potentially be on the hook for any legal liability arising from Apple’s use of their content,” Now And Apple has apparently been “vague” about the news and its plans for generative AI. However, other news executives were reportedly more positive about the possibility of a partnership with Apple.
