Adam Thomas has admitted he “still doesn’t know” what he and Strictly Come Dancing partner Luba Mushtaq will perform in just a few days.
The 35-year-old actor revealed on Tuesday that he had fallen ill and had to miss a day of rehearsals as well as a day on the set of Waterloo Road.
Speaking on Wednesday, a disappointed Thomas admitted he was returning to the rehearsal studio, but was still in bad shape and seemed less enthused about the prospect of performing in a matter of days.
Speaking to the camera in a post on his Instagram, Thomas told his one million followers: “Thank you for your healthy messages, it really means a lot.
“Obviously I’m not feeling well today, although I was a little better than yesterday…
“But yes, the show must go on,” Thomas continued, before revealing the impact being sick has had on his preparations.

He explained: “It’s Wednesday and I still don’t know my routine… missed a day of training yesterday, missed work tomorrow.”
Thomas let out a huge sigh as he tried to muster some optimism and said: “Come on, let’s go.”
His frustration was clearly visible in the message he shared from his bed on Tuesday in a post in which he wrote: “All week is going to be rough!”
And Thomas’ disappointment comes as no surprise, given how much he and Mushtaq impressed on the Strictly dancefloor last week.

Entering the fifth week, Thomas will be hoping to impress BBC viewers once again and avoid the fate that befell Kandi and her fellow eliminated stars Les Dennis and Nikita Kanda.
Week Five’s song and dance is also unveiled, with Thomas and Mushtuk tasked with performing a couple’s choice in the ballroom.
The pair will perform a Backstreet Boys medley of the iconic American boy band, in the hopes of doing enough to reach week six.
