Alu cha Fadfada recipe with Chinu Vaze

In a pressure cooker, heat oil. Add mustard seeds, let splutter and add hing.

Add alu, drained chana dal, chillies, jeera powder, mooli pieces and salt.

Add 1 cup water and give 2-3 whistles. Let the pressure come out naturally, cool slightly.

Open the cooker and mix well with a whisk or ravi. Put it back on heat and add cashews, peanuts, corn cobs, tamarind pulp, gud and goda masala.

Simmer for 10-15 mins. Add a little water as required while simmering if it gets too thick.

For tadka, in a small pan, heat 2tsp oil and ass few dry red chillies.
