You choose a character and then try to survive in “random encounters” — it’s not clear whether the actual maps are random or not — and surviving allows you to win meta progression to enhance your character’s abilities, unlock cosmetic items, and compete on global leaderboards for the Daily Challenge .

It appears that this new version will be exclusive to PS5 and will launch on January 19, 2024. The leaked trailer and store listing did not mention a PC port.
