The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had recently detained a close associate of Pawan Munjal for carrying undeclared foreign currency. On August 1, shares of Hero MotoCorp experienced a decline of over 4 percent following a report by CNBC TV-18 about the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducting raids at the residence of Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero MotoCorp. The ED initiated the raid after becoming aware of a Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) case.
