IRCTC announces 14 nights 15 days ‘North East Discovery’ package; Check itinerary, cost here – Gudstory

North East India is a unique blend of picturesque scenery, pleasant weather, rich biodiversity, rare wildlife, historical sites, ethnic heritage and most importantly welcoming people.

The train journey of 14 nights and 15 days will begin from Delhi on November 16 and will cover five north eastern states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya. Tour price starts from 75,000 more 1.37 lakh depending on the number of people traveling and the type of train class selected.

Places that will be covered in the tour include: Guwahati, Naharlagun, Sibsagar Town, Furkating, Kumarghat, Agartala and Dimapur. In Assam, places like Kamakhya Temple, Brahmaputra River, Umanand Temple, tea gardens in Jorhat and Kaziranga National Park will be covered. Places like Gompa Buddhist temple and Theravada Buddhist temple in Itanagar will be covered. Other places as per the itinerary include: Sibsagar (capital of Ahom kingdom), Shiva temples, Ahom palaces and monuments, Shaiva site Unakoti in Tripura, Neermahal, Tripura Sundari (Shakti temple), Khonoma village, war cemetery and cathedral church. Then in Meghalaya, places like Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park and Ward Lake, Cherrapunji – Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Nawakhalikai Falls and Mawsammai Caves will be covered.

Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi.

Tour cost:

There are 3 types of packages: 1AC (Coupe), 1AC (Cabin) and 2AC with 24, 48, 48 and 84 seats respectively.

The price of 1AC (Coupe) for twin sharing will be this much 1,37,115. The cost of 1AC (cabin) is 1,42,310 for single sharing, 1,23, 260 more for double sharing ₹1,20,535 for triple sharing. The prices of 2AC are: 1,35,045 for single sharing, Rs 1,15,990 more for double sharing ₹1,13,270 for triple sharing. For 3AC, the price ranges are from 87,000 75000.

The price for one child (5-11 years) for 1AC (cabin) will be 1,11,315, 1,04,045 more for 2AC Rs 69,750 for 3AC.

What does the package consist of?

Train journey by Deluxe AC tourist train in respective categories, 5 nights stay in Deluxe AC hotels for AC I & II and Budget hotels (AC rooms) for AC III as per itinerary, overnight train journey by respective rail 9 nights stay in coaches, all vegetarian meals from morning tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner, onboard meals for AC I and AC II-tier will be served only in the train restaurant, onboard for AC III-tier Meals will be served only at the respective berths, All transfers and sightseeing in AC vehicles, Brahmaputra River Cruise, Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park, Travel Insurance for passengers, all applicable taxes.
