Donald Trump says his cameo in 'Home Alone 2' helped 'make the movie successful', criticizes director

Trump denied Columbus’s claims that it had forced entry into production.

“Nothing could be further from the truth. In his social media posts, Trump claimed that Columbus and his team had to convince him to appear in the film.

“I was too busy and didn’t want to do it. He was very nice but above all very determined. I agreed, and the rest is history,” he wrote. “That little cameo took off like a rocket, and the movie was – and still is – a huge success, especially around Christmas time. Whenever it airs people call me.
